During Tevon T.’s senior year in high school, he was working two jobs and thought he was doing well, so he decided to drop out of school. Years later, he realized he was capable of achieving more than he was, but he needed to learn more skills to advance his career. Tevon decided to enroll in Job Corps at the Cleveland center in 2017 to earn his high school diploma.
While at Job Corps, Tevon earned his high school diploma and completed the Medical Assistant and Nursing Assistant training areas. He also obtained certifications in ServSafe, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Federal Emergency Management, and First Aid.
After graduating in January 2018, Tevon enlisted in the Army as a warrant officer, and he plans to continue his education and become a certified nurse anesthesiologist.
“You are going to be tested and molded; but in the end, you will be better in the workplace,” Trevon said about Job Corps. “You will be prepared and driven.”
