In the winter of 2017, China Crider decided to enroll in Job Corps and started training at the Cleveland center in January 2018. While at Cleveland, China earned her high school diploma from Penn Foster and obtained certifications in ServSafe, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Nursing Assistant, and Home Health Aide.
China graduated from Cleveland Job Corps on Aug. 17, 2018. She is working at Golden Touch Home Health Aide Agency as a home health aide. China aspires to become a registered nurse and plans to enroll in college soon.
“I wanted to finish what I had started and get my high school diploma,” China said. “I also wanted to learn a trade that would put me in a better place. While at Job Corps, I had to focus, practice good time management, and be disciplined.”
