Donald Evans dropped out of school during his junior year but promised his grandmother he would eventually earn his high school diploma. On Nov. 5, 2018, he walked through the door of the Cleveland Job Corps Center in order to keep that promise.
While at Cleveland, Donald earned his high school diploma through Penn Foster and completed the Certified Nurse Assistant program. He obtained credentials in ServSafe®, First Aid, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
When asked about his experience with Job Corps, Donald said he felt it was very rewarding and made him mature and grow apart from a lot of people. He now works for Eliza Bryant Village as a state-tested nursing assistant and will enroll in college next year to begin the process of becoming a neurosurgeon.
