After finding out about Job Corps through a childhood family friend who had attended the program in North Carolina, Elizabeth Beachy decided to enroll at the Blue Ridge center. While at Job Corps, she completed the Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, Electronic Health Records Specialist, EKG Technician, Patient Care Technician, and Phlebotomy credentials. Elizabeth also served as the center’s Student Government Association treasurer and president. She completed the program on May 1, 2016.
Elizabeth now works for Indian Creek Family Medicine in Hamilton, Ohio, as a floating medical assistant and referral and pre-certification authorization coordinator. She is also taking prerequisite classes at Cincinnati State. Eventually, she wants to transfer to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, to get her physician assistant degree.
