Jabori Lattimore, from Louisville, Ky., decided to enroll in Job Corps after he realized that “working at a dead end job was not going to cut it.” He enrolled at the Carl D. Perkins center in September 2016 with goals to better himself and enlist in the military.
While at Job Corps, Jabori completed both the Culinary Arts and Security and Protective Services programs. He also worked hard in the center’s class for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. He also worked many events off center that provided on-the-job experience, including the Kentucky State Fair, Kentucky Derby, a U2 concert, Bengals football games, and Cincinnati Reds baseball games.
After graduating from the program, Jabori achieved his goal of enlisting in the military. He is currently training in Fort Jackson, S.C., and will work as a unit supply specialist in the Army.
