After he graduated from high school, Quashyne Jackson’s goal was to gain the skills he needed to succeed in the workforce. After learning about Job Corps, he knew this program would help him achieve that goal.
Quashyne trained in Facilities Maintenance at the Wilmington center in Delaware. While in the program, he completed an internship at an apartment complex. As Quashyne finished up the internship, the vice president of AJPC Management contacted the Wilmington center looking for qualified graduates to fill an open position. Quashyne was recommended for the job and was hired 4 days later as a facilities maintenance technician.
“I’m very excited to be working for a great company doing what I love doing,” Quashyne said. “Job Corps really gave me the chance to prove myself and to show that I can be successful in my career. I’m so grateful to my instructors and to Job Corps for giving me the direction I needed in life.”
