Determined to get a career and earn her high school diploma, Tattianna Thompson enrolled at the Cleveland Job Corps Center on March 11, 2019.
During her time at Job Corps, she earned her high school diploma from Penn Foster and trained in the center’s Certified Nurse Assistant program. As part of her training, she obtained her State-tested Nursing Assistant, First Aid, ServSafe®, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) certifications.
After completing her program at the Cleveland Job Corps Center in October 2019, Tattianna then was hired at Mercy Home Care and Parma Care Center as a state-tested nursing assistant.
She plans to enroll in college and pursue a license in practical nursing, and her long-term goal is to become a critical care nurse.
“Job Corps is what you make it. The beginning of the rest of your life starts when you walk through those doors,” said Tattianna. “Job Corps saved my life and gave me a future.”
