After graduating from Norview Senior High School, Tearakah Cuffee enrolled in the Blue Ridge Job Corps Center on Oct. 17, 2017. She stayed focused and earned her Medical Assistant, PCT, HIPAA, Phlebotomy, ServSafe, and EKG credentials in a little over 6 months.
Tearakah completed the Blue Ridge Job Corps program on April 26, 2018, and accepted a position at Biotelemetry in Norfolk, Va., as a Holter monitor technician. Tearakah plans to continue her education at Tidewater Community College and study radiology.
For future Job Corps students, Tearakah offers the following advice: “Always focus on the things that are going to give you the best results in life, and always invest your time into perfecting your craft. You are your biggest investment in life right now.”
